My Review:

Its been a long time since I've read a book that I love as much as I loved Shatter Me. I absolutely adored this book; Mafi's breathtaking writing and a cast of amazing characters blew me away and kept me captivated until the very last page. A beautiful but broken heroine, an adorably devoted love interest, and a heinous villain all came together to create a story that I will never forget.

Mafi's writing is beautiful and refreshing; repeated words, vivid metaphors, and crossed out words revealing Juliette's innermost thoughts. Mafi's writing was perfect for Juliette, her choppy sentences with repeated words emphasized just how broken and lost Juliette was. As the story goes on her writing becomes clearer as Juliette begins to understand that she is not an insane monster.

Juliette was a wonderful character; she starts of the story believing she is a monster, having no other purpose than killing, which is something she tries to avoid at all costs. As Juliette struggles against Warner she realizes that she is not a monster, that she doesn't want to hurt people. Adam was perfect for Juliette; he keeps her sane, reminding her that she isn't the terrible person she's convinced herself that she is. Their steamy heart pounding romance kept me riveted the entire time.

Shatter Me is one of the most fantastic stories I've read lately. I loved this book from the intriguing first sentence to the very last page. I would without a doubt recommend this book to anyone looking for a original and refreshing story full of action, romance, and a heroine who must learn that she is not a monster for who she is.
