My Review:

As with all October Daye books so far this novel was an amazing addition to the series. Quite possibly my favorite so far this novel took me on a wild ride, between unexpected plot twists and a healthy dose of action paired with the beginnings of what promises to be a very exciting love triangle I absolutely adored this novel.

Between being thrown in dungeons, being poisoned, spending time in the Court of Cats, and racing against the clock to save the lives of her friends this novel was absolutely riveting. As is the usual case with the October Daye novels the continuous action made it impossible to put this book down. McGuire has a knack for throwing in a heart stopping even just as I decide to take a break, making the October Daye series one of the most intriguing and exciting series I've ever read.

During the course of this novel a love triangle between Toby, Conner, and Tybalt really started to take shape. A huge Tybalt fan I found myself all but squealing in excitement whenever a hint of romance took place between them. By far my favorite character in the series I relish every moment Tybalt is playing a major role in the story. His cool exterior hides unwavering devotion to Toby and at the end of the day it's apparent that Tybalt is the one person she trusts most.

Toby has changed a lot since the first book, especially in this novel. Her character undergoes a major and completely unexpected change, that makes the whole series only that much more interesting. Along with her fetch, May, Toby makes a kick-ass heroine and an exciting character to read about.

One of my favorite series of all time I very highly recommend the October Daye series! Full of action, amazing characters, and a fascinating plot there is nothing to hate about this series. To anyone on the lookout for an amazing urban fantasy series, search no further.

5/5
